Description
Blueberries are small, round, blue-to-black berries from woody shrubs in the genus vaccinium, known for their sweet-tart taste, antioxidant content, and a powdery bloom on their skin. They grow on bushes with oval leaves, producing bell-shaped white or pink flowers that develop into the edible, true berries, often enjoyed fresh, in baked goods, or jams. Types range from smaller lowbush varieties to taller highbush bushes, with fruits typically harvested from late spring to summer.
